You could use any, really. It's just a matter of what works for you just be able to justify it. Here you have an equation with y already by itself. They're just giving you a gift there...

I don't have any good way of showing the work, but I would use substitution since  the y has already been soleved for and plug it into the first equation solving algebraically.
