Could someone please help me?(: One possible cause of extinction is a. unwillingness of species to mate. b. low genetic diversity. c. no desire to eat. Incorrect d. lack of sleep. Biological diversity has been proven to ________ over time. a. remain unchanged b. become greater c. decrease d. alternate
hmm for the first one, i'm thinking either a or b
let me look something up though
Okay(:
are you able to choose more than one answer?
Nope :P
well in this article http://www.guideto.com/science-nature/life-science/animals/worlds-top-most-engangered-species.html it says that the giant panda is going extinct because it is unwilling to mate
but low genetic diversity also plays a factor in extinction my guess is that they want the best answer, so it's probably choice A
Okay(: Any idea about the second question?
reading about that now
according to this page http://www.priweb.org/globalchange/bioloss/bl_01.html biodiversity has this upward trend...basically life gets more diverse on it's own as time goes on Note: it may seem the biodiversity has gone down since the destruction of habitats and pollution kills of many species, but humans have only done this for a very short period of time (compared to the overall age of the earth and when life started showing up)
So it would be B? It becomes greater?
yes that's what I would say
okay(: Thank you so muchhh(:
you start with something simple...like an amoeba then that evolves into other things (like a crustacean) then that becomes an amphibian...etc etc
think the tree of life
