The vertex angle of the triangle is given x=40.. now you have to find the two other angles.. which is equal to Y...
So,

x+y+y180

or, 40+2y=180
or, 2y=140

So, y=140=2=70.. okay.. But don't write the answer only.. try to understand the logic behind it.
