solve for the asymptotes: (y-1)^2/64 - (x+4)/49 = 1 ; my answer is y = +/- 8/7(x+4) + 1, and they say its correct but what happens to the "64" you square?

the 64 and 49 are clues to the "box" in the center of the hyperbola

sqrt(64) is the distance from center to vertex, since its on the positive value sqrt(79) is distance from center to the "missing" vortex if it had been an ellipse
