Use the distributive property to simplify the expression below: quantity of negative 5 times x plus 15 all over negative 5 -x - 3 x + 15 x + 3 x - 3

OpenStudy (shane_b):

This should be posted in the Mathematics section but here goes: \[\frac{-5x+15}{-5}\]It says to use the distributive property so break it up so that you can distribute: \[-\frac{1}{5}(-5x+15)\]Distribute the -1/5 to both terms and simplify to get: \[x−3\]
