3x^2 + 17x + 10

u can write it as 3x^2+15x+2x+10 =3x(x+5)+2(x+5) =?,,,,,, can u do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm supposed to factor completely I have no idea how to do that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ist find the product of cofficients of 1st and last terms = 3 *10 =30 next u find factors for 30 whose sum is 17 30=2 *15 whose sum =2+15=17 so u can split 3x^2 + 17x + 10 as x^2+15x+2x+10 =3x(x+5)+2(x+5) =(x+5)(3x+2)

Oh okay, thank you.
