using the formula A=l/w,find the area of 9x^2 3x^4 on a rectangler

If its area then it shold be l*w then the answer would be 27x^6. Now if you're doing l/w its 3x^-4 taken that 9x^2 is length and 3x^4 width respectively. If its the other way around then it should be 1/3x^2
