i guess you are supposed to add 360 repeatedly until you get a number larger than zero
i tried it. doesnt work. u get -44, then 316..
oh then i guess i do not know what a "reference angle" is sorry
-404 is coterminal to 316
316 is larger than 270 and less than 360, so its in the 4th quadrant

which means that the reference angle is 360 - 316 = 44
the rule is: if the angle x is in quadrant IV, then the reference angle y is y = 360-x
