Parallelogram FGHI on the coordinate plane below represents the drawing of a horse trail through a local park. In order to build a scale model of the trail, the drawing is enlarged on the coordinate plane. If two corners of the trail are at point A (-2, 7) and point D (-10, -1), what is another point that could represent a corner of the trail? (14, 7) (10, 7) (12, 7) (8, 7)
do you know the answer @Hero
@alanli123
Maybe. The real question is, do you have an approach to this?
yeah i kow tht it not 10,7 and i dont reall know what i did but i think its12,7
What steps have you performed to attempt solving this?
lol tht the thing i forgot wht i did
If you can't remember how you got there, then maybe you never knew how to get there to begin with.
well then can you just help me
Hint: Find the scale factor
wht is tht
The ratio of the first figure to the second figure
ok
and thrn what do do
Notice that FI corresponds with AD. You have to find how much bigger AD is compared to FI. In order to do that you have to find the lengths of both. Use pythagorean theorem to find the lengths.
@dariyana, are you still here?
yes
Have you found the lengths yet?
i just suck a** at the subject and iam on flvs taking a quiz an have trouubling getting the answer
I'm sorry to hear that
it ok i just need you to help me get the answer
What's interesting is, you stated earlier that you don't believe (10,7) is one of the points. Why did you say that?
@dariyana
i dont know iam just confused and i been at the computer for 5 hours so my eyes are hurting lol but i only have two more qeustion on my quiz and i came her to get really quick answer because iam sleepy so i was hoping tht you could give me the ansers please @Hero
I can't give you any answers, but I think you should reconsider the point you think is not it.
ok hun thank you for everything
