Help Please! As shown in the diagram, points A. B and C are on the circumference of a circle with center "O" which is also on the line AB. The radius of the circle is 2.5". Line segment CB measures 4" and ∠COB measures 106o. What is the area of the ΔABC?

center "O" which is also on the line AB. A line through the center of a circle is a diameter. A triangle with one leg being the diameter and the other two legs touch on the circle is a right angle. The 90 angle is opposite the diameter. you know the length of the diameter (don't you?) you know the length of 1 of the legs. you can find the 3rd leg. then use Area = (1/2) base*height
