Which of the following pairs of numbers have a greatest common factor of 3 and a least common multiple of 27?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It does not have any pairs, this is a ACT prep question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its basically asking what is the greatest common factor of 3 and least common multiple of 27

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, basically we want to find a number that has GCF = 3 and LCM = 27..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So can you show me how to get these answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and yes we want to find those numbers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For GCF = 3: (3,6) (3, 9) (3, 12) etc etc (Here 3 can divide 3 and 6, 9, 12 cannot divide 3, So 3 is the greatest common factor that is dividing the pairs) For LCM: (9, 27), (1, 27), (3, 27) Here when you will take LCM you get 27 as a LCM in each case..

okay thanks so much!
