Please help... Justify each step by identifying the property used: 1/2(y+3)>1/3(4-y) 3(y+3)>2(4-y) 3y+9>8-2y 5y+9>8 5y>-1 y>-0.2

This is not very clear. what is the original problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2 (y+3) > 1/3 (4-y) is the original inequality to start with.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You need to first get rid of denominator. ask yourself, what is the LCD of denominator over all, ie, what is LCD(2,3)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My teacher wants us to justify each step by identifying the property used

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did the second setp "3(y+3)>2(4-y)"? Did you see the denominator disapear?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes that's the second step, but i don't know what property they used to get rid of the denominators

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Multiply LCD on both sides of inequalies to remove the fractions
