Assume the earth is flat.  An airplane flies north with speed s, and the wind blows east with speed t.  The actual track followed by the airplane is some angle theta with respect to  north.

speedometer that works on the rate of change of distance...which is dx/dt where dx is change in distance and dt is change in time.....also to find the volume of a bucket we use double integration by just writing the function of bucket...everything can be represented mathematically ...linear differential equation is used to represent system mathematically like in a circuit of inductor capacitor and resistor ..we write V= L*(di/dt) i is current and L is inductance and so on
