In addition to these, a gentle introduction is Thompson's book, Calculus Made Easy, which is online http://djm.cc/library/Calculus_Made_Easy_Thompson.pdf I would also recommend Strang http://ocw.mit.edu/resources/res-18-001-calculus-online-textbook-spring-2005/ And of course the ocw videos for Calc 1 and 2 and LA are all fantastic.
To each his own. I think his linear algebra lectures are the best lectures I've ever seen. And I really, really, like the book as well.
I was just in linear, and i think i grew to hate his book so i might be showing a bit of a bias.. Sorry for hijacking your question with this non-sense too.
Not my question. Actually, I was talking about the Calculus book. I followed his Linear Algebra book until Chapter 6, then I kinda fell off the bus.
