Would someone write a letter for me about The Great Depression.


Your task is to create a letter in the voice of a person growing up in the 1930s. This letter will be written to a person living in the year 2007. Before you begin your research, consider the name, gender, race, and age of the "character" you will become. Also, decide the audience for your letter. This might be a friend, family member, or teacher.

You need to use your own creativity. However, there are some factors we can help you with that you should think about:
What was the quality of life during the great depression: how may it have been good or bad? What factors affected people during this time?
How may have someone felt during this time period, and what were their concerns?
Was there a particular group that was affected by the effects of the great depression?
Try incorporating some of these elements and you'll do fine :)

lol sorry, just get a paper, make up a random name, get into the role and make a life for the guy with his problems

No, no - I remember doing this type assignment and it was really hard to just .. fall into the role from scratch, you know?
It might be a cool idea to find someone who lived in the great depression (someone famous you might know?) and write from their perspective. You might even get extra points :)
