A fighter plane flying horizontally at an altitude of 2 Km at speed of 200m/s passes directly above the aniti-aircarftgun.what is the minimum muzzle speed and at which angle from the vertical it should be fired to hit?

OpenStudy (experimentx):

have you figured out the problem in the Q ... i particularly hate literature part.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1344129652690:dw|

OpenStudy (experimentx):

just what does this mean? "minimum muzzle speed so that it will make a hit"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the minimum speed, the shell hits the plane at the highest point in its trajectory

OpenStudy (experimentx):

no ... this means your minimum height of the shell must be 2km

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nop it should be max...........so that we can use u^2/2g = 2000

OpenStudy (experimentx):

and what must be you min?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here min velcoity means the min velocity req to hit the plane

OpenStudy (experimentx):

where would be the minimum height? so that i would touch the plane?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so..hw do u figure out that? we dont have any method to find min h

OpenStudy (experimentx):

why don't we have ... ? we have ... let vertical component of the velocity = y and horizontal component be = x

OpenStudy (experimentx):

sorry ... let it by |dw:1344130674394:dw| we will use x, y for other purposes.
