Any answer choices?

OpenStudy (alexwee123):

x2 + 10x + 25 = 8 x2+10x+17=0 you would use quadratic formula for this :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. x = 8 + square root 5 B. x = -2 square root 2- 5 C. x = -square root 17 - 10 D. x = 8 - square root 5 E. x = 2 - 5square root 2 F. x = square root 17 - 10

OpenStudy (anonymous):

E. I believe.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have pick two

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B and E

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks you were right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

factor out x^2 + 10x +25 = 8 should be (x+5)(x+5) = 8 now solve for x. x+5 = 8 >>> x = 8-5 >>>> x = 3 you have 2 values of x because it's a quadratic equation. so you have 2 positive values of x which is equal to 5.
