u^5-13u^3+36u=0
any answer choices?
Nope , only solve for u
factor out u first u(u^4 - 12u^2 + 36) = 0 factor it out u(u^2 - 6)(u^2 - 6) = 0 does that help?
lol fast hand heheh :D
avatar hands >:))
I knoww. lol.
Yeah . .
hahaha
Does it help you out though Crombie?
Yeah . it does. Thanks for trying though :)
No problem! :D
@combie, so that means you can explain the steps of how to factor it if asked, correct?
... no .
aha
If you can't explain the steps, then perhaps you don't understand these the way you should.
Maybe @lgbasallote should come back and explain.
i was pinged?
ya :P
Maybe you should read the exchange of comments above and you'll see why.
hmm @crombie hasnt mastered factoring huh..
how do you explain factoring @Hero ? o.O
i have always had difficulty explaining factoring :/
I've done it several times before. You want me to do it again?
not the myin method...
Negative. Myin's method is not needed for this.
it's just that everytime i try explaining factoring people just dont get it...i am beginning to think it cannot be taught..it is just learned
It can be taught. I was taught it :P
Okay, I'm going to provide my steps again, even though I'm 100% confident you've seen them before. Remember, these students need step by step instructions, otherwise they won't understand.
@Igbasallote, I just realized that your steps are not correct.
You changed 13u to 12 u without reason.
Looks like it has to be done myin's way after all.
I'm not posting myin's steps on here. Too long.
