what is the difference of vector & the magnitude of the vector? I am so lost.

The magnitude is just the measure of the how big the vector is.The vector as a whole has a direction with the magnitude.

vectors contain both direction and magnitude. Magnitude relates specifically to the vectors size, while just vector means you need to know the direction and the size of that direction. Your question wasn't worded great, so not sure if this is what you wanted...
