what is the difference between Displacement and Vector?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Displacement is a vector quantity.... while vector is a quantity which has both magnitude and direction

OpenStudy (yash2651995):

displacement is a vector.. displacement shows direction+ (minimum: just joined by straight line in simple language) distance of final position with respect to initial position.

OpenStudy (ghazi):

displacement is the shortest distance between two points where as vector tells us the direction in which displacement is measured ..or the body is heading
