python.org go to download and get installer for windows. for linux, install python package or the python GUi called IDLE.

You need Python 2.5.4 and it can be downloaded from the below link: http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.5.4/python-2.5.4.msi DO NOT download it from Python.org/download as it will downoad version 3.0 which is not acceptable for this course
