How did economic,geographic, and social factors encourage the growth of slavery as a vital part of the economy of the southern colonies between 1607 and 1775

The south was very dependent on farming and had excellent climate and soil for the cash crop cotton. The British control of the Atlantic sea also made it easy for slaves to be transported. The heat and disease in the south was killing off indentured servants from Europe and African's brought to the Carribbean had shown a resilience to it.
