Which landmark court cases did the Cherokees win?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't believe they won any cases where they were directly taking a matter to court. However, Worcester v. Georgia was a sort of win for the Cherokees as it recognized their politically independent status as tribes. http://www.enotes.com/worcester-v-georgia-reference/worcester-v-georgia

There was Cherokee Nation vs. Georgia, the Cherokee won the right to stay in their native land but Andrew Jackson ignored the supreme court and made them move west on the trail of tears
