hi guys, i just joined the study group i wanna ask about the book the prof where talking about in the first lecture?

Douglas Giancoli (check spelling) 2nd edition and now out of print. Probably the 3rd edition is the most available used and at a reasonable price. Amazon lists the 4th edition at about 280.00, new. The title for the complete book is Physics for Scientists and Engineers with Modern Physics. There are lot of partial versions (eg. mechanics or electromagnetism, or optics, etc.) so make sure you check the fine print. I've taught from the 2nd edition and thought it was quite good although a little to tough for high shcool AP Physics. Good luck!
