Which of the following bodies of water did the Eastern Roman Empire border? the Black Sea the Atlantic Ocean the Caspian Sea the North Sea
Helppp
I'd go with the Black Sea. The Eastern Roman Empire (at its height) stretched across Greece and Turkey, and between them up towards the north is the Black Sea. The Atlantic Ocean was way off to the west. The Caspian Sea was too far east...the Eastern Empire, which became the Byzantine Empire, never made it quite so far. And the North Sea borders Europe in the north, but the Eastern Empire never expanded that far.
Thank you !
