Say you had 8 cards. The cards each have one letter on them: Either a G,E,E,M,O,Y,R,T. If you randomly take two cards without replacing the first one before you take the second, find the probability that you will get two E's.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

so there are 8 cards all i all the probability you pick an E card o the first try is 2/8 the probability you pick a second E card is 1/7 (because the first E card has been draw so there's only one E card left and 7 cards left) so the total probability would be 2/8 x 1/7 does that help?

So it would be .04?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

is it?..im not sure i dont have a calculator

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

well my google calculator agreed.. it is 0.4 @jadecat

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2/8 times 1/7 is not 0.4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's about 0.04
