Suppose a quantity of energy which cross an area A by time unit. the ratio between energy and time is called power. So the ratio of this power which cross an area unit is called intensity \[I=\frac{dP}{dA}\]
So to find the power the expression becomes
\[P=\int\limits I dA\]
