please help me ...verify the identity and justify each step???? 1.Verify the identity cot(θ-( π/2)= -tan θ 2. Verify the identity tan θ + cot θ =1/sin θ cosθ

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you on?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm on Now

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i guess this time he's not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah guess not.

OpenStudy (cwrw238):

for second one write tan and cot in terms of sin and cos and add the fractions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1. cot(theta-90)= cot(-90+theta)= -cot(90+theta)= -tan theta hence lhs=rhs...so proved 2. sin theta/cos theta + cos theta/ sin theta, taking lcm, sin^2 theta+ cos^theta/sin theta cos theta= 1/sin theta cos theta hence lhs=rhs....so proved.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it depends on what you get to use for the first one
