Given that f(x) = x+1, and g(f(x)) = x^2 + 2x + 2, determine the function g(x). What do I do??? :P

OpenStudy (amistre64):

try to get only one x in g(x) or such that f(x) is in (...) within g(x) try completeing the square and putting this in a(x-h)^2+k form

OpenStudy (anonymous):

makes sense. lemme try.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OHHHHH. so i got (x+1)^2 + 1, so then g(x) = x^2 + 1. You sir, are a genius (y)
