how do you determine how many solutions a polynom has, for x = 0

OpenStudy (amistre64):

how many solutions? or how many possible solutions?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

even functions can have as little as no real solutions; odd functions as little as 1 the most solutions they can have is one less than the degree of the poly

OpenStudy (amistre64):

that last sentence is in error, i was confusing thoughts lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the most real solutions they can have is EQUAL to the degree of the poly. ALL polys have as many zeros as their stated degree; accounting for repeated roots and or complex rotts as well

hahaha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ow oke, thank you... again :p

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome
