OpenStudy (anonymous):

f(x)=x-4/x what are the critical values of f'(x)?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

just differentiate the above equation and find out the points then by double integration check out maxima and minima ..you'll get interval of rise and fall

OpenStudy (anonymous):

when i differentiate i get x squared+4 divided by x squared. hence no critical values. what am i doing wrong?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

well use d(u/v)/dx and i guess you'll get 4/x^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i ask another open question? do i need to close m, 1st ques 1st? new at this thing

OpenStudy (ghazi):

you need to close your question first
