What is the slope of a line that passes through the point (−5, 3) and is parallel to a line that passes through (2, 13) and (−4, −11)?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

since it is parallel to the given line therefore it's slope will be same as that of line passing through (2,13)(-4,-11) m= (-11-13)/(-4-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

he's right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what do i do ?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

just solve what i've written for slope...i.e m= (-11-13)/(-4-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 6?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks
