This is my last question to my test, can someone help me please :c A trapezoid is drawn on a grid with vertices at P(-5, 7), Q(-2, 7), R(2, 3), and S(-8, 3) . Trapezoid UVWX will be drawn similar to Trapezoid PQRS with side PQ corresponding to side UV. The point (-2, -1) will be the location of vertex U and point (7, -1) will be the location of point V What will be the coordinates of vertex X? Show all your work or explain your reasoning. o.O

OpenStudy (amistre64):

what can you tell us about the line from P to Q?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is no drawing, If that's what you mean o.O :(

OpenStudy (amistre64):

you are given coordinates to draw this thing out with, i assume you have paper and pencil to actually do some of the work with ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yep.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

the distance from P to Q is scaled into the distance for U to V, we need to determine those distances to do the rest

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you mean by that?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

i mean, what is the distance from P to Q? what is the distance from U to V?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what do i do to get that?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

|dw:1344448381970:dw| plot the points and see if there is an easy way to define the distance between them
