What is the measure of Angle F?
what is the formula relating no of sides to the total degree in a polygon....(n-2)times 180
this is a hexagom...so n = 6 therefore total angle is 4 times 180 that is 520
so when u add up all the inerior angles, your sum should be 520
i still dont get it? theres an equation for F that i dont understand what to do with?
134 +28 +10x - 4 +10x -4 +5x +8 + 5x +8 = 520
i will go over this again
if there are n sides to a polygon, the total sum of the interior angles in (n-2) times 180.. Since our given polygon has 6 sides, n equals 6. Therefore the sum of the interior angles = (6-2) times 180 that is 4 times 180 that is 520
in the given figure some interior angles are given as expressions, but we know that their total sum is 520....so we add up everything and set it equal to 520
and thats how we got the previously typed equation
does it look good till now?
134 +28 + 10x -4 +10x - 4+ 5x + 8+5x +8 =520
so we add the like terms and we get 30x +170 = 520
oh ok i think i sort of get it so u have to get all of the equations together then add them:D
yepp now u subtract 170 from both sides, we get 30 x = 350
or x = 35/3
now ur angle f is 10x -4
plug in the value 35/3 for x
that is 10(35/3) -4
350/3 - 4
(350-12)/3
112.66 hope i didnt make any computing errors
hmmm ok i sort of have the idea in my head:) so after comparing like terms and then subtracting both sides u gett 520?
yepp
so the answer would be 112.66 at the end?
thats what i got....but do check the additions and subtractions again
ok i will:)
