Can somone help me solve this please, P = 4(3a – b) for a in terms of P and b.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

4 times 3 = 12a a times b = 4b 12a-4b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

first of all multiply 4 on the right side P=12a-4b now add 4b to the both sides p+4b=12a-4b+4b +4b and -4b get cancelled on the right side it becomes p+4b=12a i hope you can do this now !!

thanks! @huneya and thankyou @sami-21 lol, I'm starting to understandthe distrubuting thing. haha I really appreciate it! I have one more, could you check my work for me?

one sec!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Solve |2x+7| -3 > 10. ummm nvermind I dont know how to do this.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@sami-21

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the >10 throws me off

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i can set it you can add 3 to the both sides it will becomes \[\Large |2x+7|>13\] brb !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok its is absolute value. it has two values you need to solve the following two inequalities 2x+7>13 and 2x+7<-13 can you solve these ?
