if an aim for world peace was put out would the world have to change their diet and their looks to change? would it change the current fragile balance that the world is currently balancing on?

Er, it depends on how you define 'world peace'; is this world a place where people simply don't have wars? Or a place where people are well-fed, without discrimination/hate?

Well-fed people who all look more or less the same are just as capable of fighting as any other group of people. Isn't that basically what happened in Europe for thousands of years? (Remember, it was the inbred aristocracy who started those wars... and in some periods in history, they were also the ones who fought them.)
