OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry. What is the equation of a line that is parallel to the line y=3/4x+2 and passes through the point (-2,8)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok well parallel means that both lines must have the same slope so m =?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b once you get m, substitute into slope intercept equation, and determine b then rewrite it, substittuting just m and b

OpenStudy (anonymous):

with -2 and 8?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you
