If f(x) = 2x + 3 and g(x) = 4x - 5, what is f(g(x))?

OpenStudy (eyust707):

When they say f(g(x)) notice they took what was f(x) and changed the "x" to "g(x)"

OpenStudy (eyust707):

Thats exactly what we are going to do too!! Change all the x's in f(x) to what g(x) is.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Basically this means that you have to replace x of f(x) by 4x - 5..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i know its: 2(4X-5) + 3. I distribute, right?

OpenStudy (eyust707):

correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8x - 10 + 3 = 8x - 7 ?

OpenStudy (eyust707):

I like it, I like it!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

great !@ thanks :) :) :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well Done..

OpenStudy (eyust707):
