You can try different values to see what works.

Try x = 0 first

y > x^2 - 5 y >(0)^2 - 5 y > 0 - 5 y > -5 is y > -5 when x = 0 ?

Well, actually, I think that's because you're supposed to use specific points

But 0,-5 is a point

You're supposed to use points on either side of the graph to see if they are true.
