can someone tell me about the Evolution of telegraphy and telephony.

Well, thats a huge topic. All about telecommunication from Bell till now.
I think it's an abroad subject to be told in few lines. But I will Give you some words.
Telecommunications it's all about transmission of information from a place to another.
Those transmissions can be via radio frequency or wires.
Telephone works with electric signal that's will be converted or decoded in a frequency that humans can hear. It's almost like in telegraphy.
