OpenStudy (kmazraee):

I want to know whole Idea about jobs for physicist! I want whole Idea!

OpenStudy (experimentx):

refer this http://brightrecruits.com/ also let me know what you find.

OpenStudy (kmazraee):

I want to have discussions, not in a formal way to finding jobs! here (openstudy) isn't a place for unemployed! so let begin discussion!

OpenStudy (experimentx):

i'm unemployed man ... and looking for a job!!

OpenStudy (kmazraee):

@experimentX :p

OpenStudy (experimentx):

Physics is really interesting field ... but jobs are really boring. probably 90% end up teaching.

OpenStudy (fwizbang):

that's not true, most wind up doing jobs that don't have physics in the title though. See http://www.aps.org/careers/employment/

OpenStudy (ghazi):

basically, talking purely about physics, it is the subject of passion if you love to explore it will take you to the zenith but if you are lookin for a job after graduating in physics then sorry to say it is not the right choice....what i mean here is ...physics or any subject on this planet should be studied for fulfilling interest not for securing job because skilled labors also earn a lot but they haven't got any interest ..the only focus is money...so read it like you love it...and my apology if it seems i was rude to your answer :)

OpenStudy (experimentx):

where do theoretical physicist get job??

OpenStudy (ghazi):

their research gets funded by govt. and that is million dollars ...so why do they need a job

OpenStudy (kmazraee):

@ghazi you are right! but I mean that physicist's mind is wide! they have creativity! I refer you to Social Network that shows Facebook foundation! Mark Zackerburg is a most intelligent student at Harvard(but I hate him!). I mean what percent possible that a physicist take an idea like this?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

see feasibility of every idea is 0.6% or even less ...out of 6 million ideas around 10 ideas get the success as that of mark zukerberg or albert einstien ....because it was not only mark who was working on social networking website his peers were also busy in making their own website...so it's about feasibility ...and talking in terms of physics ...today we are unable to see its scope because we are sticking more towards theoretical problem rather than experimental...also our experiments are theory oriented ...so i believe physics is full of scope ..one need to have a different visual angle...

OpenStudy (kmazraee):

perhaps! I want to read the document of basic science at USA! do you have any information about american manifest for physicist? for their jobs? only national fund?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

no dude..i have no specific idea about that....you can go through it..

OpenStudy (kmazraee):

@ali110 ali are you iranian?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You shouldn't get in a field where you can't find a job that you would like.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

That's why so many people are unemployed because they think having a degree in a useless field is their dream but have no idea what to do after they graduate

OpenStudy (fwizbang):

Well seems kinda selfish to only want to do something in order to make only yourself happy. People who have jobs do help society while just solving math problems because you like it does not.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I already said that my goal isn't happiness. You seem to have misunderstood me completely. I will delete my above post so that you do not twist my words any further.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

still sounds selfish

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think you just deleted it so I wont quote you anymore

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would love to be quoted, but you did not quote me. I am very upset that you could not understand my ideas. I have worked very hard on formulating my personal philosophy. Perhaps you need to take an introductory philosophy course to understand. It makes me sad that this post probably won't help.

OpenStudy (kmazraee):

@Herp_Derp what's wrong dear? I'm your friend, so have peace baby!

OpenStudy (kmazraee):

@RyanL. thank you friend!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@kmazraee may i help or you are satisfied with discussion?? may i know your specialty. . .

OpenStudy (kmazraee):

I tell you that I'm not satisfied, but I want this question to be opened! to have better idea! plz help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well there are 3 options 1. join most reputed physics organisation through test and become juniour research fellow. 2. join a college or university for ph.d program. 3. just join any job related to physics like lecturer or as per your qulification or even a school teacher and do research at your personal level and publish your thesis.(if you are qualified to publish it as independent author otherwise you will need a mentor like your proffesor. . .
