Using the formula C = 2πr, find the circumference of a circle with diameter of 28 inches.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well the radius of a circle is half the diameter. so for this problem the radius is 14. So C=2(pi)(14)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok, I am still confused??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The circumference of any circle with radius r and diameter d is determined with the formula C=2(pi)r which is also C=(pi)d because when you multiply the radius by 2 you get the diameter. Is this making sense so far?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ohhhh ok, yes, it does. Thank you! I get it now!!! :)

good. :)
