OpenStudy (rayford):

solve 4x^2=12x+40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

looked good to me where did it go? ??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you remember what @Jodi103 said, it was right

OpenStudy (anonymous):

use Quadratic equation first write in standard form 4x^2-12x-40=0 here a=4,b=-12,c=-40

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wouldn't do that

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I didn't mean to delete it! :3 haha

OpenStudy (rayford):

may you please put it back up?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

go ahead

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Divide both sides by 4: x² - 3x = 10 Subtract 10 from both sides to get everything on the left: x² - 3x - 10 = 0 Factor: (x - 5)(x + 2) = 0 Answer: x = 5 or x = -2 haha here ya go :) I don't know what happened to it! lol

OpenStudy (callisto):

@Jodi103 Nice solution, but please leave some work for the asker and don't give out the answers. Thanks :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Whoops... Sorry...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (rayford):

OpenStudy (rayford):

OpenStudy (anonymous):
