mathslover (mathslover):

this is the question .. FInd x and y

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

if i know my thingies right... (2x+5) + ( x + 25) should be equal to 95 + y right?

mathslover (mathslover):

2x+5 + x + 25 = 180 3x+30 = 180 3x=150 x=50 degrees Well the given figure is a trapezoid

mathslover (mathslover):

we can equate that to 180 degree

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i dont think it equals to 180...does it?

mathslover (mathslover):

x + 25 + y = 180 75 + y = 180 y = 105 but the options are: a) x = 50 , y = 85 b) x = 45 , y= 85 c) x = 40, y = 90 d) x = 92, y=60
