to remove square root sign,you can square both sides...giving x-5=10*10=100...so its quite easy to find x now..

So, you square both sides.. How did you get 10*10 after squaring the 10?

hartnn (hartnn):

squaring means multiplying by itself,so 10 square is 10*10

Would the answer be x=105?
