I'm not really sure how to apply it practically with the toolset given by the course. Anyone have any advice on next steps or projects I could work on? I finished MIT 6.00 Intro to Comp Sci Fall 2011. I loved it and I'm excited about using python.

What do you do for living? what is your job? if you are only studying what are your hobbies? you just need to look for occasions that you can do the repeatetive task faster using programming. i.e. if one of your hobbies is travelling and you have limited income, calculate how many month you need to save 10% of your income to go to your desired destination for one week. what if you want to stay there one month or even one year. what if you ask user to input the duration of the travel and calculate the number of months you need to wait :) Ofcourse you may find much better ideas for your next project and I am just trying to show the approach :)

not really too helpful for me but it is generally good advice and my question was admittedly unclear so I think it does deserve a 'medal'. Anyone have any concrete projects they've tested their skills with?
