someone just asked this .. here was my ans Easiest if you graph it. it opens up bc coefft of x^2 is positive And has a min. Differentiate, get slope, see where slope = 0.

Standard from: y = ax^2 + bx + c Now, the a will tell you everything. When the a is negative, it will go down. Therefore, it has a maximum. if a is positive, it will go up. Therefore it has a minimum
