For the following system, if you isolated x in the first equation to use the Substitution Method, what expression would you substitute into the second equation? -x - 2y = -4 3x + y = 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

substitute x=4-2y in place of x in the 2nd eq to get 3(4-2y) + y = 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So the answer would be -2y + 4?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

seems so
