on highway 101 markers numbered in order from 1 to 10 stand 28 km apart. If you stand at marker 1, how far will you have traveled when you pass marker 10? please show work thanks

this is a simple arithmetic series problem
there are 9 transitions between marker 1 and marker 10. that's the only trick.
10-1=9 So you have past 9 markers each 28 km of distance btwn the next 28*9
