Help me with my research paper please. I do not know why i plarigiarized.
Here is what I think. I see that you have in-text citations, but did you paraphrase, or did you use the information word-for-word? For example, did you take the following statistics and write them word-for-word? If you did, you need quotation marks around the entire thing. Otherwise, it is considered plagiarism, even if you sited your source. According to the data from Hwang (2001), single men constitute the largest segment of homeless people in most Canadian cities, with about 70% of the homeless population in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary, and about 50% in Ottawa male. In Toronto, single men occupy 35% of shelter beds. Although most single men stay in the shelter system for only a few nights, single men also account for 75% of chronically homeless individuals.
Oh yeah. 42% of your paper is copied from another source. This is plagiarism even if you did put quotes around the material. Your paper has bigger problems than not being cited properly. You need to go back through it and introduce some of your own ideas and paraphrase plagiarized passages. I have attached a plagiarism report that highlights all the places where your writing can be found word or word from the Internet. You need to go through these passages and either: A) place quotation marks around them B) paraphrase them C) remove them al together and replace them with your own original ideas that relate to the material. I warn you, do not just go through and place quotation marks around all these passages. You will still get dinged for plagiarism. In order to avoid plagiarism you need to have a similarity index of less than 10%. Rework your paper the way that I have told you using the plagiarism report as your guide. When you are done, I will run another check on it for you if you wish.
